Re: Tire damage question

Thanks guys. I think I will find a lonely country road somewhere next Spring and leave them on the pavement, then get some new ones. Will definitely follow your advice on the fender roll. As always, thanks!

Re: Tire damage question

Ooooooohhhhh. You guys are pretty smart. Yes, the car is lowered. Ford C-springs I think it is? Not the lowest ones.... The tires at 275 40 17 I think - whatever it is that replaces the 245s. So, are the tires okay to drive on? At least in a straight line? The bigger question is beside rolling the l...

Tire damage question

Hi guys: I hope you can all help with this. Attached are some pics of my Nitto 555RIIs. I don’t drive the car much and store it over the winter with standard radial tires. I put the Nittos on in the Spring and they looked fine. Taking them off last week you can see it looks like they were cut with a...

Re: Roll bar question

Sorry for the delay response, but thank you for the information - I'm looking into this today. We make these cars way too fast to not have one, IMHO. Thanks guys!!

Roll bar question

Hi all... Back again with another question, please: Tonight I inadvertently re-tinted my seats, dash, window tint, and even roof, brown. I had the old girl out and opened her up on a straight, looong, divided highway. I took it up from about 40 to 90mph in a few seconds and then I realized I was com...

Re: Need brake pads/rotors

I'm a year late here, but... I replaced my stock front brakes with slotted Stop Tech rotors and Hawk pads and holy moly, what a difference! Very cheap. Do it.

Re: Thoughts on a gear upgrade? And weight...

Thank you gentlemen. I only get this car out from June to September, but when I do I remember why I can't sell it. It rattles, it shakes, it honestly looks cheap on the inside, but on the outside, it goes like shit and looks great. My wife thinks it's very cool. She's obviously very smart. Okay, so ...

Thoughts on a gear upgrade? And weight...

I'm sad. I got the Cobra out today and it just doesn't seem to have the same punch to me as in previous years. It's got 440 BHP and 525 TQ on the spray and I *believe* 3.27 gears. 1st gear is useless, 2nd is pretty good, 3rd is a disappointment. Would maybe going 3.55s help 3rd? I rarely drive the c...

Re: Cobra brakes

Hi guys, time for annual summer visit. I actually had Ford install some GT rotors (Stop Tech) and Hawk pads this week. Let me tell you: before stopping was an adventure everytime; now, there is bite and stopping power. It's day and night. It's a cheap fix so if you havern't done it, do it - but I'm ...

Cobra brakes

Hi guys: My apologies if I asked this a few years back... I can't remember last weekend so you'll have to forgive me ;) ... but I need my Cobra to brake way better. I am told the 1993 GT rotors are a perfect fit (given the proper wheel). Is this true? My speed-shop, that knows Mustangs, said they wo...

Re: Clutch question on the spray

Thanks for the input guys. $1,000 is a lot to spend on anything so I just wanted some feedback to make sure the advice is solid. On an unrelated note, I must say how few Foxes (let alone the non-existent Cobras) I see on the road anymore. I've seen one this summer. A friend of mine asked me recently...

Clutch question on the spray

Hey guys... quick question if I can please... my '93 is running an 88 shot and on it I've managed 440 and 520 at the crank, on a Mustang dyno. I want to use the whole 125 shot but my guys (who are good Mustang people) said (among other things) I need a new clutch to use the 125. The clutch will be a...

Re: 2013 Cobra Sterling Gray

It's not the cash outlay for me, it's the depreciation and not being the coolest guy on the block. That's what keeps me from buying this car. I remember in 2003 when I drooled over the Terminator. Now it's terminated. Every year the next car will be better... but at some point it's going to hit a li...

Re: Sell '03 Cobra and fix up '93 or sell both and get '14 G

I asked myself the same thing in 1994 and 2005, etc. That 2014 looks awesome today - not so much in say 2018, I'd bet. (Still going gaga over the 2003?) Buy what the hell you want and don't give a rat's *** what anyone else says. That's why I drive my 1993. It's very simple.
