The way it was explained to me the tax office will tax you a percentage on the sale amount on your paperwork or value of the car (i.e. KBB)...whichever is higher. Regarding financing, when I looked into it most institutions will not lend more than a percentage of the KBB value of a vehicle. So if a ...

Sorry...been away for a bit. I am outside of Dallas, TX. I'll work on getting some pics and figure out a price...still on the fence about selling, but am leaning that way now because I can't give it the attention it deserves.

I was just looking for opinions. Was kicking around the idea, but after seeing the pics I've seen I've decided against it. The flat black just does not do the Cobra justice.

Thanks for the insight, guys!

I was just looking through some pics and found a few Fox Mustangs with flat black. Either the paint jobs are Wal Mart spray can bad or the Fox is just not a good candidate for the flat back. Looks kind of terrible to me. These pics have helped me make up my mind... http://www.allfordmustangs.com/for...

Flat Black Paint Job?

Guys, I am going to have to get a new paint job on my Cobra pretty soon. I bought this car to restore it the best way I can. It has a lot of oxidization and the clear is peeling...not to mention I can see the yellow coming through on the fiberglass parts. Now, I am debating what to do with the paint...

I'm in the same situation ur in tliss as far as peeling, mine has yet to peel, but the spider web cracks show, just want a good product that doesn't leave any film behind, so think I'm going with McGuires The Ice polish is good and really doesn't leave anything behind. It just takes a little extra ...

I had the same issue. It was my water pump. I never saw anything on the ground until the water pump just puked and let out a bunch of coolant. Definitely check the water pump.

Try this. http://s14.postimage.org/fszmscd0d/turtle_wax_ice_liquid_polish2.jpg I've tried that stuff on my Lightning...it looks good but is kind of greasy, meaning you'll see signs of it left over after hand buffing. Only way I found to get rid of it is to use an orbital buffer on it after initial ...

It is not hard, just we very careful not to break any bolts. Those bolts are long and easily broken from what I understand. Take your time. Also, be sure to scrape off all of the old gasket from the block as well before applying the new one. The risk of breaking a bolt was enough for me to have some...

The Lightning is "The Executioner".

The Cobra doesn't have a name yet. I've referred most to it as "The Cobra" like others here. I do need to officially name it, though.
