Huge Mustang event at Maple Grove Raceway 8/16/14

This event in Mohnton, PA this weekend may draw as many as 2000 Mustangs. Anyone attending can check out my old car, #2296, w/202,000 miles after the gentleman I sold her to in the end of June took it to another level by taking care of the flaws, and cleaning / polishing / detailing the interior, ex...

Beautiful car! Congrats on the sale. You should be commended for taking care of this car so well over all these years. A true example of how one can enjoy driving their car while maintaining it in tip top shape, all the while maintaining its value. Thanks for your kind words Tony. In the past few y...

This Car is SOLD!! Congrats! Did you get $14.5k for it? Thanks. I'll leave it to the buyer (a veteran Mustang owner, active club member, etc) to answer if he shows up here. After inspecting and driving the car, he exclaimed it was like a well cared for 75,000 mile car instead of one with 202k miles...

Re: Clutch question on the spray

X2. You're getting good advice considering the power your motor is putting out. Brookse, I agree with the other posters. Another thing to consider if you upgrade the clutch, is whether a flywheel change is also desirable for your application. When building my ERA 427 Cobra (550 hp / 550 lbs-ft / on...

Re: Red /gray cloth 96k miles $14.5k Arlington TX 11 owners

On Ebay the seller states "anti-lock brakes" under the heading of "safety features". This is not true, as no '93 Cobras came with that feature. This may indicate the seller either doesn't know a lot about the car, is a little careless about listing the car, or in the worst case i...

Yep, it shows the seller could have gotten more for the car.

Rufus you have any nibbles on yours lately?
Yep, steady interest from a number of folks. Original, complete, and well preserved one owner '93 Cobras aren't very common and draw a lot of attention.

Re: Reb Black Cloth Official Sale Post 30K miles

Hi MROLDSCHOOL and Aaron. Sorry if I'm out of bounds, but from what I read in this thread, I don't see why your deal is "off".......maybe there's something simple I don't know or understand. Here's what I'm basing this on: 1. MROLDSCHOOL is pre-approved for a loan in excess of the agreed p...

Re: Reb Black Cloth Official Sale Post 30K miles

Take an old socket, hammer it over the lock, then hit it with an impact. Done it 1000 times and never had any problems. same here works everytime use a 12 point socket usually about 13/16 or 7/8 Thanks guys.....great trick. Makes perfect sense. Ya just gotta think outside the box sometimes, huh? In...

Re: The Next 20 Starts Today

Very unlikely! It's nice to know that #2205 was built on a Wednesday and #2232 on a Thursday. As for #2296, hopefully it was built in the morning and not close to quitting time. Just kidding. ;) Hi Z282SLO. I suspect you'll appreciate this......One of the cars I had during the time I've owned the C...

I can imagine the pain you went thru..... Way back in time the only way I could remove the rusted stu...

Re: Reb Black Cloth Official Sale Post 30K miles

Hi Aaron. I agree with John Lynch, great job rescuing this Cobra. In an earlier post you referred to the "22 year old Gatorbacks". Are they the originals? Do they still have the original weights from factory balancing? If true this is waaaaay cool, and I hope someone preserves them just th...

Re: The Next 20 Starts Today

Hi Henry. It been quite some time since we last communicated.....hope you're doing well. Henry and jspalmer01: I just noticed something interesting about our three cars: they were built on three consecutive days in April 1993. Henry's on the 21st (#2205), jspalmer01's on the 22nd (#2232) and mine on...
