I just had the exact same problem with my cobra. I cleaned the mass air sensor and the throttle body (I know, don't care), and the difference is night and day. You don't need the special torx bit. You don't have to take the mass air apart to clean the sensors. Just buy some mass air cleaner spray fr...

vacuum help

I have this vacuum issue that I notice shortly after I got the car and never addressed. There is a vacuum hose that's not connected. Here is some pictures of where it starts and where it goes(i think). Can someone tell me what this vacuum is for? http://flic.kr/p/9b2ALp http://flic.kr/p/9b2ARB sorry...

Weird gas station happenings

I went to the tank the other day and started filling up. As usual, the handle kept reseting. I knew it wasn't empty so I kept fiddling around with it until it stayed on. Then locked it on the lowest setting. After I hit 11 gallons, I thot "that's weird and looked under tank for a leak. I didn't...

Teal in frisco tx

I passed a teal cobra in frisco tx yesterday. Just wondering if the owner hangs out here. I gave them a furious honk 'n ' wave, so you would know if it was you.

Wow. Wholly crap! That makes me cringe. I'm nervous under my car on jack stands. You have it on a lift, on two hydraulic jacks, on two chuncks of 2x4. I can't even look at that without getting nervous, I don't see how you can get under it.

Re: Clutch

If you rebuilt the trans, Maybe it's in the trans it's self. Not the clutch. Just a thought. Hehe...aaron says "You screwed up the rebuild, chump" Possible but not likely. There's not really anything in the rebuild that I could have messed up to give me that problem. Just swapped all the ...

Thanks for the replies. I did swap the flywheel when I did the clutch. Went with the Fidanza aluminum. I don't remember about the "guide" bearing. If that didn't come with the clutch or the flywheel then I probably went with the on that's in there. If that works buddha, that would be fanta...

more issues with the clutch

As some of you know, last year I swapped my clutch and rebuilt the tranny. I've had issues with this clutch since the installation but unfortunately, I didn't ask you guys before I bought it. The issue I have is that it never really feels like it's letting go of the flywheel completely. BTW, it's a ...

Stock used I wouldn't prolly pay more than 40 for. A stock reman sells for about 80 at Autozone. The higher end new ones sell for about 120+ at Autozone. But those are still stock amps. This would be the highest I could justify going. $170 for a 95 amp alternator. That's quite a bit more than I can ...

Alternator

Since the fiasco with my clutch, I've decided to post here before I buy new parts. I need a new alternator. I'm okay sticking with the stock power but would upgrade if I could afford it. I don't want to spend more than $100. Recommendations?

well crap....guess I should have posted here before I bought it. Last thing I want to do now is pull the tranny again. American Muscle said the clutch I got was 10% lighter than stock ( http://www.americanmuscle.com/kingcobra.html ). There is no way I'm gonna replace I clutch I just installed and ha...

Heavy Clutch

I complained about how heavy my clutch was when I first bought my cobra. Since then I've replaced the clutch with a Ford Racing King Cobra clutch and replaced the clutch cable. It still is heavy. Not as heavy as when I bought it but it still gives me a sore ankle (it's a daily driver when there is n...
