Re: New Dyno Numbers: Stock(ish) 1993 Cobra 80K mi- mustang
My opinion is that the lightweight flywheel changed the personality of the car the most. There are lots of folks online that are opposed to the idea. But, I think if Ford had done this from the factory, no one would think twice about it. Sure it takes a bit more clutch feathering from a stop and th...

Where was the timing set for the run, 10 or 14 degrees?
I had it set on 15 degrees with 93 in the tank.

Re: New Dyno Numbers: Stock(ish) 1993 Cobra 80K mi- mustang
Very nice results for a 24-year-old stock Cobra engine with 80K miles, although not really that surprising. Let's not forget that the GT/LX motors were rated at 225hp at 4200rpm and 300 ft-lb at 3200rpm from '87 thru '92 before Ford mysteriously lowered these numbers to 205hp at 4200rpm and 275 ft-...

Re: New Dyno Numbers: Stock(ish) 1993 Cobra 80K mi- mustang
Thank you. The difference over stock is noticeable. It has always rev’d so to speak, but now it revs harder and digs in a bit. (if that makes sense) My opinion is that the lightweight flywheel changed the personality of the car the most. There are lots of folks online that are opposed to the idea. B...

New Dyno Numbers: Stock(ish) 1993 Cobra 80K mi- mustang dyno
Just some trivia for the 1993 Cobra faithful… I just sorted through a drivability problem and got the car running good. It has fresh sensors, a fresh tune up and had a dose of Lucas. So, I thought it was a good time to get it on the dyno. Here are a few minor deviations from stock that could impact ...

Re: Question about the X3Z ECU
This thread is aging, but I thought I would chime in. Our 93 Cobra's MAF are for 19 lbs. The X3Z does the conversion to the 24 lbs that came on the cars. http://forums.corral.net/forums/eec-tech/1384568-differences-a9l-93-cobra-ecu.html I came across this link not too long ago. It was news to me... ...

Power Windows Intermittently Inop
Hey everyone, every now and then my windows don't respond to the switch. I never dig into it cause it usually is only momentary. I click the switch back and forth and up or down it goes finally. (It does seem like it only happens when it is actually raining or very humid. Probably coincidence...) Al...

Re: plugs for supercharger?
Hey there, On my 13ish PSI 570whp (mustang dyno) '89 coupe I ran Autolite 3923. I had an MSD ignition and coil and never had reason to believe that I had the spark blow out problem. Lot of guys gap them real tight to prevent that. If your ignition is stock you may need to. I think I was gapped at 50...

I just want to publicly thank Brett for going way above and beyond on this deal. I bought the CD player. Brett tested the unit to be sure it was working as he expected it to be before shipping it to me. When he found that it was not working correctly, he spent 185 of the 250.00 sales price to repair...
