Re: Air Bag Module

After looking around it seems this item is difficult to find in "new" condition. Seems Ebay has a few used ones they claim are tested and working. Might have to go used.

Re: #2779 goes to the track!

This. :smokin: Practicing the launch is the biggest thing. Huge difference from your first time down the track vs. the later ones. Looks like you were having fun, and I've seen a hell of lot worse driving than that, nothing to hang your head low on. Powershift the crap out of that thing. Not sure w...

Re: #2779 goes to the track!

Your 60' time is killing you. I could not tell what you were launching at but I'd try leaving at a lower rpm. Is anything done to it? I can honestly say that I am not launching it at any certain RPM. I was slipping the clutch and feathering the throttle just trying to get the street tires to hook. ...

#2779 goes to the track!

Well guys, after I installed the new transmission and clutch, got everything all broken in, I decided #2779 was fit enough for a trip or two down the 1/4 mile track. My local dragstrip, Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler AZ was holding a Friday night drags, so I took her out. Cut me some s...

Re: #966 get a new motor/trans

OK, I have been doing a crap ton of reading. According to my book ( I have a 1993 mustang repair manual), the proper backlash for the pinion to main ring should be .008 -.015 with a preferred setting of .012-.015. So according to this information, your backlash was actually set correctly. I have fou...

Re: #966 get a new motor/trans

Re: #966 get a new motor/trans

No that is not right. I also have too much "lash" in my rearend. I thought I heard somewhere that there should only be .006-.012 inches of lashing between the pinion gear and the main ring. Mine has had a set of 4:10 gears put into it and I am also afraid that they were not installed corre...

#2779 gets an RST and a TKO600

When I bought this car a few years ago, it was having issues with the transmission. Mostly 2nd gear didn't like to engage properly, and I had massive amounts of vibration at higher rpms. It was completely drivable, but I knew I had an issue that would need to be addressed. I don't have plans to put ...

Re: #966 get a new motor/trans

Pictures are ok to look at, but I want to see some video of this beast in action. Did you follow Mcleod recommendations on clutch break in? And what about break in procedure on the transmission? Is that the T-56? Did you have to deal with checking your new bell house alignment or "run-out"...

Re: WTB: OEM Grey Floor mats and MAF

After you install the intake plaque, I would be curious to know your results. Interested to know how your fitment turns out in comparison with mine. Thanks and best of luck!

Re: Fuel pulsation Damper F3ZZ-9F787A

I found this information on the internet. I found it to be the best explanation I could find to help explain and understand the purpose and duties of the pulsation dampener. A fuel pulsation damper is a device used to regulate the oscillation of fuel caused by the injectors opening and closing and s...

Re: WTB: OEM Grey Floor mats and MAF

I can't help with the floor mats or the MAF, but I can give a bit of insight into the intake plaque. I just replaced mine with a plaque I think I got from LMR. Had the 3M backing tape and looked to be the right plaque. I did install it and it does look really good. Only complaint is that all the edg...
