I too often pull the rotor but I guess I got lazy lately. The car has a 3-way immobilizer in it. Without the key fob, it won't start regardless. (The Ravelco is what I have now. No electronic key fob, no start.) It cuts the fuel, starter and ignition. All wires are black, heat shrinked, and the casi...

Hey, as a side-note, I put the aftermarket 8.5" aftermarket Cobra wheels on the front today. Yeah, they stick out a bit, but they look fine from the side and back. From the front, maybe a little guido, but just a bit. They don't rub like my shop said they would. One thing I noticed is that I to...

Hey all, for what it's worth: Just got my car back from the shop today. I haven’t even washed the friggin' thing yet this year. It's gone from garage to shop. I went in to get some new jets on the Nitrous to run a 125 hp shot, and it all went fricking sideways. I got them to put new brake pads on to...

Someone tried to steal my Cobra

I went away for the long weekend and thankfully my car was in the shop. When I came home the garage door was kicked in. Everything in the garage was left (air compressor, power washer, all my tools). Some A-hole was looking for my car. I guess not finding it, he stole the GMC 2500 next door. I've go...

I did a Google and if that is your red car it looks great. Are those the cheapo aftermarket 8.5" inch wheels I have with GT brakes? They look like they fit just fine. As for me, I'm leaving it as is, for now. I've got tires on the 8.5" aftermarket wheels and will put them on myself to see ...

Well, my shop, which is thoroughly Ford (and these guys build their own parts for their own drag cars), says the GT rotors are smaller by 1/2", and shouldn't be installed. So they don't want to do it. Further, they are telling me the 8.5" wide wheels are rubbing and have no clearance on th...

Good to know. I have new Cobra rotors on order. Can I just order a set of GT rotors (with a shorter hat I guess) and bolt them up? Anything I need to know?
Thank you for taking the time to let me know of my options.

Aftermarket wheels on Cobra - optical illusion?

Hi guys. Replaced my 17 X 7.5 stock wheels with the aftermarket 17 X 8.5 wheels. The back looks awesome. On the front, stayed with the stock size tires... I know the offset is different on these wheels, etc., but they do fit and look good (IMO) but the clearance when turning the wheel from the rear ...

On the spray, I'm expecting similar TQ, but I have no idea at what RPM. Should be interesting. That's the thing about the tires, I want grip and stick. Who doesn't. I'll let you all know how the #s come out.

Hey guys... just got the Nitto 555R II Extreme in the 275 size today. They look positively massive and I am positively pumped. (But two cost me $600 up here in the Great White North... what a rip off.) Can't wait to get them installed. Going to the 125 NO2 shot next week so they'll get some work. If...

Interesting on both replies. Thank you for the information. The car is going into the shop soon for some various stuff and I think I'll have them road test it and get their opinion on the feel of the car and these proposed changes. Thanks guys. Really appreciate the input.

Steering question

Hi guys... just got my Cobra out after the winter. I spend my winter in a Lincoln MKZ. Driving the Corba today, I realized just how bad the steering feel is on the Cobra compared to a new car (even my wife's Honda CRV). It's really bad. Like the steering box is half-fried, but it's not. Is there a w...
