It’s unanimous, Pete! Tell your painter not to be lazy and use flat black where it’s supposed to be used!

If leaving the door mouldings on, I’d paint them glossy black to match the rest of the car. However, I’d paint the cowl, side mirrors, door/window trim flat black like it was done from the factory. I’ve seen repainted Mustangs with glossy black on all these parts and the end result just doesn’t look...

The mechanic Goose mentioned is wrong about synthetic oil. There is another thread on here that discusses the old wives tale about synthetic oil being bad for the seals, etc.
