Sweet. Would like to see waht you are putting down. Waht is your elevation? We will need to know if your numbers are corrected or uncorrected also.laz2447 wrote:Going tonight to get the car dyno'ed. I'll post up the results in this thread when I get home.

Sorry about the late reply guys. Long story short this guys shop was not where the directions and his web site said he was. Which right away I was leary of even going there.
Anyway here are the results:
1st Pull:
195 RWHP (WC)
247 RWTQ (WC)
2nd Pull:
196 RWHP (WC)
246 RWTQ (WC)
3rd Pull: (Zero - 60mph test)
6.29 Seconds
4th Pull: 1/4 Mile test
15.09 Seconds
While the times for the 0-60 and 1/4 mile are up for driver skill debate of course, I'm really disappointed to not break the 200 RWHP mark. When reading about some of your cars with similar set-ups and seeing what you all are making.
Any thoughts, opinions and suggestions for me?

I am very surprised with your results, those numbers are less that my stock 1993 Notch made. If I were you I would do a compression test and leakdown for starters. Check the IAC, clean the throttle body and MAF, and maybe test the injectors. That just can't be right.

Dude, it's right. What was your altitude you dynoed at? What type of dyno was it on?
I just got my done on AWD Dyno Dynamics Dyno.
At 6000ft:
235HP Dynojet Correction 40% or whatever
221HP Actual Corrected 30% for 6000ft loss
154HP UNCORRECTED
With my little 154HP I can't even get out of the 15's here!!
Disapointing, lol. But did you guys see that Top Gear where they tested the GT500. It dynoed at 445HP then he threw his '67 GT 390 (325HP) and it only had 250HP, but would probably run 14's in the quarter.

As far as the origional poster's numbers, I say it's about right for uncorrected numbers, depending on what dyno he ran on, and the guy running the dyno. Geeze guys, these cars aren't race cars. They are rated for 235 flywheel HP, and even though they make more than that, you can't expect them to make that at the wheels.
I know some guys will say they make more stock than that, but it really make a big difference on what dyno, who is running it, and how it's calibrated.

My buddy dyno'ed his 93 LX before me and make 181 rwhp and 224 rwtq...his car has the cobra intake, bbk cold air, long tubes, catted h, cat back, 9mm wires...
Not mention 120,000 miles more than mine...some more food for thought...
I know what these cars were supposed to put down and what they are able to do. All I am saying is I am not sure what the right numbers should be? I hear Mustang Dyno's are low, Dyno-jets are high...
I guess its up to individual opinion...some of you say of yeah thats dead on!
Other say OMG there is something def wrong!
So what gives?
