Higher mileage cars value

Post by pete3323 »

My Cobra has 140K on her. Runs perfect. Mostly original or repro, except shifter, subframe connectors.New opal gray leather interior, new opal gray mass back carpet, new aftermarket stereo. 20 ft re-paint. What's it worth these days? Also wondering why I almost never see high mile 93's for sale? It's always the big bucks low mile cars. Opinions?

They come up for sale, I don't think they are followed like the low mileage cars. Really just depends what someone is looking for, it would go for around 7k-10k. I've seen 50k mile cars go for around the $14k mark or better, like I've always said options, color, condition make a difference on how fast they sell.

I would say orig interior in good-great shape will be worth more than one with the same miles and the repro interior. The repro interior just doesn't match up with OEM.

I would say your car is a strong 10-12k. The last driver black I sold for $10.5k that was earlier this year.

The days of sub $9k cobras seem over unless they have "unknown" mileage, missing most orig parts and a longer list of performance mods.

My cobra #1866 just rolled 285,000 miles and runs like a champ. It as never had the valve covers off.

Nice! That 302 was clearly not built on a Monday or Friday. ;)

I think it would have to be a rough car for the price to do down to 7k . if mileage is the only issue and other wise it's a nice car I say 9k and up depending on options and color combo etc..

Also there is always going to be an exceptional "deal or steal". But when a salvaged totaled car is bringing 7k + at the insurance auction, that has to tell you something.
