Engine Block Heater

Post by Cobra4683 »

I was not aware an Engine block heater was even an option. Being form Texas I have never dealt with a block heater. My car is in storage right now. Is there any way tell from the VIN # or Door Tag if mine was factory equipped?

Im not sure if there is any codes for it , unless you have one of the build sheets. But you would probably see a 110 AC cord under your hood , to plug the engine block heater in .

I though it was only an option on the 1994 Cobra. I have not heard of any 1993 Cobras with it.

I have one on my '93. The option code is 41H.

I was living in Buffalo when I ordered the car, so I thought I'd need it. In the end, I was able to swing another car as a daily driver so I never even drove the car in the winter.

I think my car is worth much more with the ultra-rare option combo of grey cloth, cd player, and engine block heater.

Why would the heater be a problem? and Yes I would think it would be pretty rare in 93 cobra?? I agree I dont to many collectors would look for it. :?:
