cobra odometer

I thought all 1993 cobra's and fox body mustangs had a 5 digit odometer? I just looked at a 1993 cobra on ebay with a 6 digit odometer. the mileage reads 017401??? Anyone know if some had 6 digits?

New York cars had a 6 digit odometer

The million mile odometer was a mandatory option for NY DSO cars. A NY DSO car will also have a rear window defroster. It's likely SVT dealers that are border dealers may have sold cars with this option.

My 93 is one of those NY DSO cars. With a little luck, when the SVT Recognition Guide gets released it will include info on this option, with photo's from my car. Release is delayed due to Tom's untimely death.

The car you refer to on ebay, looks like a sweet car.

I have a photo copy of a window sticker showing the million mile option. Send me your fax number and I will fax you a copy. Won't be able to do it until about 4/10 when I get back from vacation.

I thought there was 3 states that this was manditory.

What 3 states? I've always only know of the NY requirement.
