Ok, I'm finally up in Wisconsin for the next two weeks before I move down to Georgia. I bought this Cobra from Brandon Christmas last year. Yesterday I dropped her off at the shop to get the engine bay painted. It's going to be sanded down smooth and a show finish. I'll keep you updated.

Hey whats up Brandon? I was looking through boxes, and there's no rack and pinion. If you come across one, can you help me out. Also, I'm trying to get a complete motor and tranny to drop in there (true cobra parts though) in trade for a comlete turbo kit and all the parts to get it going. If you got any ideas, can you let me know? Thanks.

Check again I know there was a rack in the car somewhere that was one of the things he forgot to bring me and he brought it to me on a second trip. Thats the only reason I'm sure it should be there.

K. I'll look in the car when I pull it all out this weekend. Dang, there is stuff everywhere. You weren't lying. Here's the paint job. The first paint job was blue because there was 2 choices and the second one was to make the Teal. So thats in here too. It's also alittle darker, but from 1993 to now, kinda hard but I like the results. What do you guys/gals think??

Looks great man. Now you need a ton of chrome and engine dress up stuff to set it off under there.

Thanks for the complements. Good idea with the chrome Brandon. It's gonna take time but its getting there. I found the brand new rack and pinion but had it didn't have the outer tie rod ends. It's also missing the 7 inch bolts and nuts, and the 2 of the 4 bushings that bolt the R & P down. I got alot of piecing together to do. Looks like he took one part off, threw it away, another part off and saved it, another part off, threw it away, and.... you get the idea. I'll get it eventually

You aint lying. Even worse is the car is going to be sitting there just like that for 6-12 months again up in Wisconsin. When I get a garage in Georgia, I'll trailer it, but until then, what you see is what I'm left with.

A year later  . My freshly built house closes next week with a 2 car garage. 3 day's after closing, I'm headed to WI to get my baby. THEN, a week later, I'm headed to Afghanistan. Yes, she will sit another year. Car almost has more "trailer" miles than driving. LOL.
Aaron S, Find me a motor and tranny please. I would have tried to get the one you just sold.

Update on the car. I went to a junk yard about 3 weeks ago. Spent $400 worth of most of the crap that was missing. I resurfaced the flywheel(junk yard) and have all the nuts and bolts etc. ready to bolt the tranny to engine. It's almost there, but a couple more things. I got off work early today and put the gas tank up not to mention changing out the fuel sending unit seal. I would take a picture but I'm sure everyone here knows what a gas tank installed in a car looks like. I dropped the car off the jacks and getting the it ready for the engine to drop in. I have my daughters this weekend so I'm looking at next weekend.
