Not Running Right...

On my way home tonight from a car crusie and when i went to upshift into third the car kinda bogged down and started surging/sputtering...

Sure enough it stalled out...

So i coasted to my buddies driveway on our road and when i tried to start it up again check engine light was on...it fired over but when i went to back up it stalled out...

I got it to run and drove it in first/second gear limping home about .25 mile away from my friends house...and it would pull normally untill it hit a certain rpm and it would just stop pulling like it hit limiter...

We are thinking fuel pump, filter, etc etc...any other ideas?

32,000 miles on the car, originally filter, pump, etc etc...

Check your mass air sensor. Could possibly be dirty?

Sounds kind of like a bad fuel pump

I asked around and a few other people have said to check the mass air sensor...so that will be my first plan of action...

Well its been a month + and I just found this post so figured id reply to it...

Was the mass air sensor...took the car to work one day and had the guys next door run the code sinse it was throwing the check engine light...

Came back mass air so they took it off and cleaned it...runs like a top again...I didnt even tell them to do it...just was curious what the code was and didnt want to spend money on things that werent needed...

All in all...didnt cost me anything...so that was a plus!
