Finally decent pictures with the "new" wheels

Post by Black306 »

I recently had the rims redone (removed the chrome and painted the factory color). It took a while to get the new center caps, but they finally arrived. I pulled out the car out of my garage to help a friend and work on his car.....so I thought about snapping a couple quick shots.

I have yet to even wash the car since I've bought it. Still need to strip the old wax/clay bar/Zaino/etc. I think the factory paint has held up nicely. :D

That looks awesome, Probably as good as it did in 93. Nice photography also, is that a GT or cobra in the background?

Car looks great. Reminds me of the Ford promotional photos they took in the early nineties.

Looks like a dark gray Saleen to me behind his Cobra.

Your wheels came out great! The paint on that car looks better than new. Very nice example of a 93 Cobra.

I used the paint code that has been floating around the internet: DBC33896 from PPG. On top of that, I had the rims clear coated. My friend who painted them said the paint code is a base and needs some kind of clear for proper protection. The clear toned down the shine a small bit, but still looks great. You might have seen the pictures from my website. I posted them there too: http://wcfords.com/ubb/showthread.php?threadid=25947

You can thank me for that paint code. :D
I put that out 5 years ago when I had mine done. Watch some of the pics that you take, it will make them look polished
