That sucks! Buy a used h-pipe with cats and take it off after you pass. Better yet, borrow one from someone for a day or two. You should be able to find one for cheap. I'm going to try and pass without cats this week (Connecticut)
Good luck

Sounds like you better go shopping, http://www.ninosport.com/BBK-Catted-H-p ... p/1521.htm I am glad my part of Indiana doesn't have to pass emissions.

Your best bet is to bump the timing back to stock, and make sure the car is plenty hot when you bring it in. Fresh gas and a recent oil change can help too. If it's a rolls test, chances are you won't pass it, regardless of anything you do.

As it was said, just buy a catted pipe and swap it out. The hi-flo cats that are out there do a really good job of cleaning up the cars emissions, and you don't really loose any power.

Fuse should be under the dash just above the clutch pedal, the horn is located under the front left fender in the wheel well I do believe.

I've got a BBK catted h-pipe for longtubes that I had on one of my cars several years ago. Paid about $400 for it if I remember right. I'd sell to you for $150 plus shipping if you are interested.

so the car doesnt have any cats on it at all? You could just go to a non emission testing county, sign the form stating you are living there for now, for work reasons. And they wont test the exhaust.

I lucked out here in Missouri as these cars went emission exempt a few years ago even though they both would pass if they still had to.

Still have to pass a visual though.

yeah I would say the timing needs to be put back to stock, The guy that did mine said he would have failed it if I wasnt a friend just on the timing alone. Also I have a BBK cated h pipe and it passed with flying colors. So basically what everyone else has said.
