Clocked out 25 mile ride in mine yesterday weather was beautiful down here in NC :burnout: Headed home early once the roads started to get congested too many people on their cell phones and filing their taxes while driving. :nono:

The 93 got some exercise today:

I asked my 15-year old which Mustang he wanted to take for a cruise to work on his manual transmission training today after school. I offered anything but the R. He chose the 93. Since it feels totally different than the Shelby, he killed it a few times, but his skills are improving!

Decided to rebuild the 25 year old Paxton SN92 that came with my car. As modern Vortech owners cringe as I mention the ball bearing drive dinosaur, their pretty simple and a complete rebuild kit is only $450.00.
Bought the car in January of 16. While putting some miles on it I never had any problems. It registered 6-7 lbs on the tree. Just never knew if and when it was ever serviced. It looked like shit too. When polished aluminum is dirty its depressing.

I do like the idea of screwing around with a blower that was available when the car was new. A time when I was much younger, and in high school.

I have a press so I figured what the hell and took it apart. I soon came to realize I would never be certain of the torque settings of anything I removed. So I sent it to the guy that bought the rights to all the Paxton Superchargers manufactured before 2001.

Of course a few days after I sent it off I found all the torque settings i needed on superchargerhelp.
The power pipe I had ceramic coated. I really should have taken these pictures outside. Their yellow.

Thank you, it's been awhile since I had to polish that much aluminum. Forgot how dirty it is. That black powder gets everywhere.

I'm not going to lie to you. I have no idea. On a stock engine with headers and off road pipe it puts out 7 lbs boost consistently while measuring at the tree.

Paxton said with an upgraded impeller it moves 850CFM. I did have a vacuum / boost leak and saw only 2-3 lbs tops. When that happened it was like night and day power wise. Any thoughts of putting the stock airbox back on and removing the blower went right out the window.
A bone stock cobra just is no where near as fun to drive (to me). I'd say its gotta be good for at least 70HP.

If your not looking to break any records and want something from the period its good little blower as long as you don't over spin the
the thing to death. Which a lot of guys did back in the day.

The guy that owned it before me had one of those POS calibrated mass air meters. That was fine back in the early 90's but it's the wrong way to tune a car. Ford never used a calibrated mass air meter. It should all be done in the computer.

As soon as I get some down time I'm going to put the blower back on and get a dyno tune. When that happens I'll post what she puts down.

Not sure if you are asking me or DJ, but I don't. This is the first one I've seen. It's now hung in the garage.
