Most people call them "valve covers" don't they? :D :poke:

Point well taken, 2771. It's been a long week at work. :pat:

Hey, Speed. What's with the blue marker on the valve cover sticker? :D

I believe the engine was long gone when he bought the car.

We're getting real close on figuring out when Ford switched from the early intakes (smooth)to the later intakes (ridge). The teal/gray posted by Brett today in the For Sale section (#557, built on 2/18/93) has the the later intake. I posted a link earlier in this thread w/pics of #539 with the smooth intake.

It's looking like the switch occurred on 2/18/93 somewhere between #540 and #556. Nice to see the original estimates that were posted were pretty darn close. 8)

Hey Z, a fellow member (gm_stomper) used to own build #552. I pm'd him and he replied that it no-ridge.

So, now it's between #553 and #556

Stumbled on this odd cobra intake on ebay. Anyone know anything about it? Seems to have the smooth side, shorter throttle body area, lack of egr provision and a f2 part number. I guess it was meant to run a egr spacer.

I googled the part number, seems it was made for export to Australia.
