We should pm him and see if he remembers what intake it had.

EDIT

So we know the cut off date for the non-ridge intake is 2/18/93 provided by z28slo, #582 has the ridge built 2/19/93.
It must be between #569-582.....

Nice find! We'll have this Mustang mystery solved in no time. 8)

How is the prototypes intake different?

You know... For subjects like this it would be good to have a page just dedicated to this info on the site. Same with the Production Information by State.. it should also be placed on the site and not just in the forum.

Here are a couple pics I have of my car from early on like in April 92 with the first style intake. Notice the difference in the neck. Then in photos in late May, June it had been changed to the early style production intake but with the #'s stamped on it and the machined surface.

Huh, never new that, very interesting and cool to see!
At first glance, it almost resembles the 95 Cobra intakes a little....

X2. Nice pics, Speed. I wonder if the neck of the proto intake was more restricted and changed for later Cobra production.

Also, I noticed that the cylinder head cover sticker had blue marker on it. What's the story with that?
