My 93 VR Cobra

Post by vickerw »

Hey guys, finally got a chance to get my car cleaned up & snap some pics of it. 4,600mi. all original car. It might even still have the stock battery in it, but not for sure on that. The only thing wrong with it is the stereo has the dreaded popping in it & it still has the original tires on it, which I don't like rolling around on 22yro tires! Reading in a previous thread you can't even get the original gatorback tires anymore, so if I decide to keep it all original not sure what I am going to do about that! I am used to modding vehicles to my taste but I am trying to keep this one all original. I would really like to tint the windows, lower it a bit & put a better stereo in it but at this point not sure what I am going to do with it. Any advice would be appreciated! Glad to have a site like this to come to for these cars! The 93' Cobra is one of my favorite Mustangs of all time, being the Foxes were the cars I grew up with & made me the Mustang fan I am today!

Sharp car! I think modding these cars is great, especially in the horsepower, torque and handling department. However, with a real clean low-mile example like you have, my advice is to keep it as stock as possible.

thought I recognized that dollar wed in the front yard!

Mount Belieu!

I'm in Friendswood, think you might be the closest to me yet
mines got just a few miles less than 15,000 now and I changed out the tires first thing,
That would be a pretty good battery if it is still original?
you the original owner?

The wise person in me keeps telling me to keep it stock,
the wild side in me tells me to Tint and exhaust!

but will keep it stock, for now!
Mine went to meet and greet again last Friday

I'd keep it stock except a working radio/mp3 unit, tasteful tint (smoked not blacked out) and a nice sounding exhaust. Put new tires on and keep the old exhaust, tires, and radio in a box so when you go to sell it you have the original parts. Also drive the car a little! Enjoy it!

Just make sure if you buy the tires off John he doesn't ship them in an envelope.... :spankme: :alcoholic:

Thanks for the responses. Yeah I will most likely leave it like it is. I have an 04' Cobra that is heavily modded when I want to have some fun! I need to find a stock radio to replace the one in it now & will try & find an extra set of stock wheels & just put some regular tires on it & keep my original set put up. Glad to have this site dedicated for our cars & for advice!

Interesting that a nicely modded low mileage 93 just reached $27.1k on Ebay.

+1 for nicely modded Cobras! :headbang:

However, that car has only had changes to the shocks, radio and mufflers. In other words, that creampuff has barely been modified!
