You can add me to the original owners list... bought mine from Colley Ford in So Cal in 93, was in Bob Lyons' SCOA club back then.
Same here.....I was in SCOA member #33.

SCOA member 235 here. Seemed fitting since that was our engine rating....

Hi Henry. It been quite some time since we last communicated.....hope you're doing well.

Henry and jspalmer01:

I just noticed something interesting about our three cars: they were built on three consecutive days in April 1993. Henry's on the 21st (#2205), jspalmer01's on the 22nd (#2232) and mine on the 23rd (#2296)! .....and after 21 years they're all still original owner cars. How likely is all that?

Bob

Very unlikely!

It's nice to know that #2205 was built on a Wednesday and #2232 on a Thursday. As for #2296, hopefully it was built in the morning and not close to quitting time. Just kidding. ;)

Hi Z282SLO. I suspect you'll appreciate this......One of the cars I had during the time I've owned the Cobra was a 2000 Z/28. I'd switch off between the two for my commute. The Z was fast, got a little bit better fuel economy than the Cobra, but developed some serious problems in the first 50,000 miles and I dumped it. Same treatment and care as the Cobra (Mobil 1, etc.). Meanwhile I kept the Cobra and put 150,000 more miles on it than the Z. If anything I'd have guessed the Camaro was the one built on a Friday!!!

Anyway, I've always been a TGIF kinda  guy.

Best,
Bob

Yet another example of GM's legendary ( :bs: ) build quality. No wonder they stopped selling the Camaro a few years back!

As for your Cobra -- that's awesome that you have enjoyed the car as an original owner for so many years and so many miles. Here's to many more!

You guys have me... I have no idea what my SCOA number was. I still have some of his old VENOM newsletters, maybe it has an address label that would show that?
Build #873. Red / Opal cloth. 105 K miles. Original owner, bought from Colley Ford in Glendora CA.

Good question, I haven't a clue if the label might show that. My number is just one of those odd/random pieces of information that somehow stuck in my memory.

Glad to see there are a few more original owners still out there.

I am not the original owner, but I am creeping up on the 20 year ownership mark. I bought mine in April of 1996 with about 30,000 miles on it. Used it for a daily driver, because I could not afford another car at the time. Now mine sits in the garage and gets a weekend drive about once a month, if the weather and my schedule coordinate.

Very interesting Bob. Must say my Thursday built car is holding up quite nicely. Will be 22 years old next month!
