Stereo Question
Q: for you stereo experts. Just had my OEM cassette deck refurbished by Ford repair center and it works great now. Only problem is this....when it is on, and car not started (sitting in garage), it sounds clear with no static or noise. When car is running, and I am moving, I get periodic static and occasional popping. I have original grey spark plug wires (very low miles) but it does the same thing with aftermarket Ford Motorsport wires also, so I don't think it is being caused by the spark plug wires. Could it be the antenna cable needs to be replaced? And yes the cable is plugged in securely to the radio If I do replace it how does it route under the dash? Thanks.

Re: Stereo Question
There was a common issue among SN95s where a buzzing that would increase with acceleration. That turned out to be a lose wire connection (poor ground) near the drivers side kick panel.

Re: Stereo Question
Uhh ... Mr. Grease Monkey, the question was about an OEM radio in a Fox body, not an SN95.

Re: Stereo Question
Make sure if they added a new grounding wire, it's short as possible.

Re: Stereo Question
What he is saying is true, make sure all your connections are clean on the battery and alternator. Are you sure the connections are tight on the amp side, to the radio and the amp under the passenger seat. Maybe the bouncing around while driving is causing it.escogt wrote:lolZ282SLO wrote:Uhh ...
