1993 Cobra in magazines ???
What magazines do you have with the 1993 Cobra featured as a new car back in late 92 or 93? Please, share your knowledge. Give the name of the magazine and month it was disseminated.
Let me clarify: Magazines other than what you have posted on this website. Oh, wait, you probably know about all of them.

That's a good question. The newsletters originally published by SCOA had listings of what was in print. I just searched the 93 and 94 copies on the SCOA web site and didn't find the lists. I'll email Bob Lyons, director of SCOA and see what he still has.

1993 Cobra Magazine Articles
Road & Track published a '93 Cobra road test in their February 1993 issue. Car and Driver did one about the same time (+/- a month, but I haven't found my copy yet....)

I also dug up a copy of an article in the September 7, 1992 issue of Autoweek, and a page out of a Ford employee newsletter (not sure what it's called.....my dad was a Ford employee, but he only mailed me the one page; not the entire newsletter) dated March 1993. It has two articles relating to the '93 Cobra. The first reporting the start of Cobra production and includes a photo of the first one coming off the line. The second article describes the special training required of the 800 SVT dealers to receive certification to sell and service the Cobra and Lighting.
Documented in these articles are the facts that former Formula 1 / Indy / CanAm / etc driver, Jackie Stewart was involved with development of the '93 Cobra suspension's ride and handling, and that Roush was involved in developing the 235 hp 5.0 engine.

I have an artical from Car and Driver from October 1992 reading: Ford Mustang Cobra, What happens when You mate a snake with a horse? I also have an artical from Autoweek from May 1993 reading: Ford Mustang Cobra, SVT's New Trick For Old Fox. These were saved by the original owner and given to Me when I bought the car. Can send copy's if anyone is interested.
