the Hoods come from the factory with Rock Chip protectant underneath the primer and paint, after 15 to 20 years or so of sun, engine heat, and use, the paint on the hood tends to get small, very small cracks in the paint. Has nothing to do with repaint, just TIME! paint does not last forever, our cars are getting old, and as long as the finish is shiny, and looks good for shows I wouldn't see a need to worry about painting them, that's just how they are aging.
I agree with Aaron.. And we def disagree on a lot of other things.......

Here is an update on my black Cobra. All painted and looking like new. 72K original babied miles. Funny thing about the cracking paint on my car is that since day 1 this Cobra has always been garaged.

Paxton SN92 installed in 1997. Still purrs like a kitty cat and whistles like a Boeing 747.

Had the wheels repainted too. PPG.

Here is the original letter that I got from the now out of business East Ford where I purchased my car in response to an inquiry when I found out about the upcoming '93 Cobras. Pretty cool.

Here are a couple of other items that I got with the new car way back when.

A Dealer promo SVT VCR tape.

I ripped it to a digital file years ago. That file can be viewed here:

Original floor mat instructions that you never see anywhere (at least I haven't)

..and yes, the clear coat option was $91 back then.

Cool stuff, and a nice looking BLACK Cobra!

That floor mat instruction sheet is hilarious. If one needs instructions for the proper placement of a floor mat, one should not be behind the wheel of any car.

Thank you much. :D Black is for sure my favorite color. Just added a black '01 Lightning to the stable. New paint and chrome 20's. Dropped the back down 2".

8 months?!? What did they paint your Cobra with, a toothbrush? ;)
