Aftermarket Reproduction Wheels

First off, I want to apologize for posting about a subject that has apparently been almost beaten to death. I have searched, but I want to make sure I am positive about the answer to my question...
The reproduction wheels for the 1993 Cobra (from LMR) are different backspacing than for our cars, but from what I understand the rear wheels fit no problem and all that is needed is to change the front rotors to stock GT rotors for the fronts to fit? Is it that simple? And again, I apologize for covering a constant topic. I just don't want to order parts only to find out that the conclusion I came to was wrong. I don't want to give the woman in my life that type of ammunition lol

Yes sir. It's that simple. I have them on my Cobra & they look awesome!! They actually look & fit better the the OEM's IMO.

Thx. Another question... The stock gt rotors on LMR specifically state they will not fit a 1993 Cobra. Put them on anyway?

And since I'm supercharged I want to go with 275's out back. Will those stick out too far with reproduction wheels?

The stock GT rotors will fit. They're just stating that because of the wheel difference.
The 275's should work just fine with the aftermarket wheels. I've seen 275's on the OEM wheels, so you should be fine.

One item of note - if your rearend is off center, it COULD make a tire rub. By off center, I mean more than the standard 1/2". I discovered a worn upper control bushing on mine.

I was getting some rubbing on mine with 255's (nitto555) but mine is lowered. It wouldn't really rub unless I had a passenger in the car. Drove me nuts and I went back to stock. Besides the minor rub - they looked great.

I went back to the stocker rims and want to get them polished down the line.

PM me if you want to save some money and buy used. Mine are chrome and MINT. I could also work the GT rotors into the deaL. Throw me an offer via PM if interested.

Just an FYI for anyone doing a search on this topic, I purchased a new set of silver Cobra replica wheels, GT drilled rotors, and 245-45-17 Nittos in front along with 275-40-17 Nitto 555's on the rear. They fit great and look outstanding. My car is lowered and they do not rub and fit the wheel wells pretty nicely: I didn't have to remove or flip the quad shocks either. In case anyone is curious how well the 555's stick, I have a Kenne Bell with 11psi and I am very impressed with how they hook on the street. Mine is just a weekend cruiser so I probably will never be able to speak of how they are on the track, but they are great for the street.

What happens if you do not put the GT rotors on the front?
They rub on the fender or just do not look right?

Absolutely. The 555s are a great tire for the $$. Although, when my Nittos need replacing, I plan to splurge on a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

They stick out & look wrong.
