Installing UPR CC plates....need help tightening the nut

Hey guys. After lowering the car last month, I finally got around to installing the CC plates. I'm having a problem keeping the shaft of the strut from spinning when tightening the nut on top. It says to tighten to 60ft lbs. but as soon as I go to tighten with the torque wrench, the shaft spins. I've tried holding but no luck. Some say to use vise grips on the shaft and I will not do that.....

Any tips or tricks to this?

TIA!

I installed my CC plates. I had to have a friend come over and hold the strut. the strut stops spinning as much when the nut gets to a certain point and then it's a little easier. There may be a simpler way, but that is how I did it. Twice in fact because I installed them wrong the first time.

I tried holding the strut with no luck, it just spins. I cant get a good enough hold on it to stop it from spinning.

I was going to try the impact but it states to tighten to 60lbs. How do I know when to stop? lol

run it down with the impact till its tight then it wont spin anymore while you torque it
