instrument cluster

Post by Tk1299 »

Has anyone removed their instrument cluster, for whatever reason, and reinstalled.... And after the reinstallation their car didn't run like normal? I put white face gauges in and after I put the cluster back in I tried starting the car. It would turn over but not start. I had to pump the gas pedal for the car to start and then it idled very rough. It would almost stall and then rev up to about 700 rpms. It continually would do this until it warmed up and level out around 500 or 600 rpms. It ran perfectly before and idled around 900 rpms(dyno tuned) Also, it seemed louder and deeper before. No one I've spoken with have heard of this happening.

Did you disconnect the battery before changing the cluster?
