Yep, and don't even need the tool, a big screwdriver and a hammer get same effect. And then pop key lock on steering wheel. Literally in and gone in probably 20-30 seconds.

What are they going to sell that is going to bring big money? The ground effects? $2k? The cobra wing? $300....wheels $600? They are better off swapping the vin or stealing a newer car. Its a amateur that stole it.

Just the parts you listed are around 3k. Throw in a few more and, for a low life p.o.s. with no real job, it's not a bad pay day. Hopefully they only went for a joyride and parked it someplace.

You do realize who your talking about right? A lying thief. Sometimes their smart, usually their NOT.

Joy ride, "chop shop", they don't care. I can almost guarantee the car is being parted out. Not sure if its Cobra specific but I still have the chalk marks on my A-arms and everything else. Valve covers still have them. Parting it out seams like a easy task. And people will want the parts. Just saying cuz i do agree with you.

Especially if the idiots pay attention to all the BS sales going on at Barret Jackson. I've always hated that auction house and always will. Point at the chandler fools.

i cant believe people still leave these out in the open, or drive them and leave them in parking lots... probably looks like this now. back in the day I think it was a cycle one gets stolen and striped, another gets stolen and striped to fix that one, and so on. the stuff wont be for sale, it will be used to make anoter cobra or a clone

Stories like these are why I won't even drive my car to work anymore to sit in the lot all day. Sad, but true.

This is easy,1.Keep your keys with you,2.lock all doors,3.remove the following if is in storage.A.Wheels,Battery,Distributor cap and keep tank with less than
5 miles worth of gas.Take all removed parts to a second hidden location only known to you.B.Put multiple cameras with sensors where the vehicle is stored with a direct live feed to your cell-phone.C.The most important one Don't drive,or tell anyone you own your car.

Last year on power tour in my 92gt ,i took the coil wire off distributer and coil and took it into hotel. I figured most thieves don't carry one. lol

I seriously don't blame you. That's why mine don't go to work or of my sight for very long. If we take it into town and do a sit-down meal, I make sure I get a window seat.
