93R at Miller Motorsport Park

Post by drkhrse »

Took me a while to load these up. This was my first afternoon run on May 21st 2012 at Miller. I have a few more videos that have better action but the camera angle is best on this one, next time I need a roll bar mount. It still gets you a good feel for the track. I spit it into two videos and cut some out of the middle. Video 1 is the first two laps, no cars in sight. Video 2 is after I caught up to some traffic. Try not to laugh to hard at my editing  . This was my first outing with the GoPro, I had the wrong cover on it for the speeds I was at, so there is a lot of wind noise.

U think a regular DD Cobra would fall apart on a track? I would like to track my DD Cobra.

Thanks guys. The second video won't fully upload, re-trying now.

Jamey, Here is the build thread, too much to re-list here.

Vin,
I have run my DD Cobra. It is what got me hooked! Two things to be prepared for, Heat and Brake pad wear. My DD Teal car has a 9# supercharger on it and got really hot. Didn't hurt anything other than performance, just make sure your cooling system is up to snuff. Second is be sure you have a new set of brake pads on to start and it won’t be an issue. Street pads wear really fast on the track. Other than that just meet the safety rules and have fun!

The closest track to me is ~300 miles. Needless to say I don't get to go as much as I'd like too.

No it's a little farther west in Birmingham, but even though it's farther it's a better town, ha! Roll tide!
