Instructions for posting youtube video's using the [youtube] bbccode button.

1.Find the youtube video you want to post

2.Find the youtube link in the address bar
example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76KLvKyvYdo

3. Now take only the ID part of the url
example: http: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=76KLvKyvYdo

When you make a post click the youtube code box (this is the little box that says "youtube" you will see when posting a message it is located between the subject box and the message box.)

4. This will appear
[youtube][ /youtube]

5.Then between the [youtube] here [ /youtube] place the id
example: [youtube]76KLvKyvYdo[ /youtube]

6.When finished with your post HIT submit!


Instructions for [youtube2] an alliterative bbcode button for posting youtube video's.

1. Find the video you like

2. Copy and paste the FULL HTTP: address from the address bar located at the top of your browser then paste it in between [youtube2] here [/youtube2]

You must click on the [youtube2] box first then paste the link in between.

Example: [youtube2]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1gYjyiNBR4 [/youtube2]

3. When your finish your message, click summit.



There are two different way's listed above to embed youtube video's, user's should use their own discretion in-witch is best for them.

example: [youtube]76KLvKyvYdo[/youtube] <-------- correct (removed space in last youtube)

attention geeks like db. click the youtube link, DO NOT manually type youtube in the brackets like DB and if you do DONT type the space , like DB did!

i have issues

attenion all geeks ! the space is there to prevent phpbb from thinking i am trying to post a youtube video! if i remove the space it will screw up my post! NOW if you click the youtube button like the directions say, there will be no spaces! and it will work!!

look db you had a space on either side of the youtube code, not a space in the brackets!

Can't it be shown using the code brackets?
