It's funny to think that a car with 235hp that went 0-60 in 6.6 and did the 1/4 in 15 sec was a top performance car 20 years ago. Man, we've come a LONG way!

I've seen much faster than that published. Even that Motor Trend comparo vs the Z28 showed 6.2 and 14.4 seconds and I think I've seen faster elsewhere. Still Ford really started p*ssy footing around especially starting 94 and going forward while the competition was really stepping it up.

This very site claims 5.6 and 14.3 @98 via Car and Driver. Optimistic or realistic?

^^^

It all depends on driver skill. But those times in the video are definitely on the slower end and those C&D times are with a skilled driver in optimal conditions. IMO, realistic is probably 5.9-6.1 for 0-60 and 14.5 for 1/4 mile.

Of course, with a supercharger you get to enjoy 0-60 in the 4s and 1/4 miles in the 12s (or better). Now that's high performance! :headbang:

^^^ What Z meant to say is, he needed to add a supercharger to keep up with the good stock 93 cobra drivers. :wavey:

Straight from the 90's!

Looks like it was a later model though, with the intake.
