1988 GT Black with Red interior and Gray Bottom POLL

1988 Mustang GT Black with Gray Bottom & Red Stripe. 120k Miles
Red Interior 5 Speed All Original
I’m restoring the car only to resale it. Normally I would just paint it all Black, however this car is in decent shape with all the Vin tags in place, not sure there is anyone out there collecting 100K miles cars?
So my Poll question is Paint the car Solid Black Or Black and Gray?

paint it all black , if you get tired of it or want to put it back original , it would be easy to pull the ground effects and and spray them along with the lower body, then run the red stripe tape.

With 12k black ones made in 88. Not sure if its as rare as I thought. I like your Idea on all Black and then respray the Gray if I found a buyer that said 'they had a Blk and Gray one' or they wanted one.

I personally prefer the different colors on the fox bodys, I had a emerald green GT with a gray bottom at one point.

For a gauge, here's what appears to be a really clean 87 with 57k on it for 8 g's:

I agree with Mystic, The car I am working on is very different than that 57k car. J that is a clean one.
The 57k mile car is very clean and is garage kept, not a driven car. +positive+ On the -negitive side it's an automatic.

I have restored covert's, automatics, 5 speeds, lx's and so on so on. Automatic's are very hard to flip. I'm in Colorado so the other hard one to get rid of is the convertables. Out here there is ether junk or low milage cars, not too many in between. It's always fun to search craiglist in Colorado and see the hacked out 5.0 for 5-7 grand. Then I list a clean one for the same price. Not too many clean drivers out so I make a decent profit. The Black 5 speeds always sell fast.

I agree. I misread his question and was just giving an example of what clean 5.0's are list at out west. But yeah, other than the auto it's a nice ride!

I voted black/grey - as bone stock as this car is, I'd keep the colors stock as well.

If it was a modded car, I'd do solid black.
