Saleen SA-15 Value?

Post by dbrennancobra »

Guys, whats a true value on these cars?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/390-Actu ... 417090dcc6

I have seen one in person, and i love it... but want to know a realistic price on one? Can i get maybe SPEED, Aaron, kevin or someone that has been around awhile comment on a price point? i understand the above is showroom condition... but what are they really valued at? i was thinking 28-30K ish.. i know they made like 15 of each color...

thoughts?

15 is all that were made and yellow was the only color. They rarely get traded around so putting a number on it would be hard. They are not as desirable as the SA-10 and they weren't any options on them. They came loaded. I'd say 30k max. There have been a few 03-04 Saleen Cobras trade hands and they are in that range as maybe a bit more but are more rare and a way better car than the SA15. If you are thinking of dropping that kind of coin I think Twin still has an 03-04 Saleen Cobra vert he'd sell

I would've given my left nut for this car back in '98, but now it just kinda looks silly to me. :|

I thought it was a 281 because of the GT 4.6 emblems on the side. More than likely a Budget Rent a car it would have been easier for the production company to rent that car than to purchase it.

Speaking of the s351, I'd drop some coin on one of these before the SA-15's. Better looking car IMO with the addedd HP to boot.

Subtle they ain't, hope you like attention. Personally, I'd rather spend the same or slightly less coin and get the S-351, or an SR 351, same looks and boatloads of torque.
