5.0 V-8. 4-speed. PS. PDB. Working AC. Sunroof. 114k miles. New paint, decals, carpet, dash pad, stereo. Original window sticker & owners manual. Less than 2400 made with these options. Newly powder-coated 16in Cobra wheels w/new tires (original wheels shown in pictures included). Plus some extras (Original pace car jacket, Revell model, Lighter, etc). Runs good. Not a fan. Regardless of the rarity of the 79 Pace Car model, I wouldn't spend a dime on a Mustang with a V8 that has no more power than a Honda Civic. IMO, 79-81 were Fox-body years better left forgotten.

I had one with 8k orig miles I thought it was cool it was the 4cyl I thought the recaros where neat

John, the '79 Pace car is very cool! They helped start the 'Fox Mustang' craze!

'79 Pace Cars are awesome. Who cares about the HP in a collectible special interest car. We moved from Mass to AZ in '79, and my father bought a new '79 V6 hatchback. I begged him to get the Pace Car, (there were three on the dealer lot) but he thought it was too flashy for a doctor. Someday I will have one.

That's cool. We'll just have to agree to disagree. I'll stick with the 86-93 Fox bodies. Good luck in your search for one.

I think they are cool, but the rims and interior is not my taste.
