I've always loved the GNs... A neighbor has one sitting in his garage and have never seen it out of the garage! Hmmm a car that my wife could also enjoy (automatic) and myself as well. A nice lower mileage one would be a nice pick up! :headbang:

If I wasn't so addicted to Fox Mustangs... I'd definitely have a Grand National in my garage.

X2. Maybe I should have explained in my original post. I've seen tons of GNs over the years. Very nice but no big deal. Until this show, I'd never seen a GNX that wasn't roped off or locked up so you couldn't see it up close. Buick made only 547 of these and they stickered for $29,990 back in '87. This car was also the fastest production car in 1987.

This car had approx. 17K on the odometer, was in mint condition and the owner was happy he paid mid-60s for it. I've seen wrapper GNXs sell for over $100K at the auctions. It was real cool to see a rare car like this up close.

Local guy has a GNX with just a few thousand miles on it IIRC. Last time I saw it up for sale he was asking $85k for it.

Get this a buddy of mines dad had the option to buy a GNX that our local Buick dealer had but he went to the Ford place and purchased a 87 Cougar XR7 because he didnt want a black car and was scared of the turbo. The XR7 is in his basement with 5k miles. :twak:

Bet he's really regretting that move. Although in his defense, the GNX cost just under $30K back then while a loaded XR7 stickered for around $16K. Perhaps he was more scared of the monthly payments on the GNX. ;)

It amazes me how you guys can remember how much something stickered for new 20 years back. My memory isn't that good. LOL...
