That's because this is a true Red/Black combo and DB prefers ORANGE (oops ... I meant Vibrant Red).
The Bright Red used in '90 actually looks RED!

Careful with the suggestion, Vin. Too much elbow grease and that car will likely fade to YELLOW before it ever looks RED.

If the 1990 Ford Mustang sales brochure is accurate, this car does not have clearcoat.

I haven't checked the door paint code but the window sticker just says Bright Red at the top. I don't think it is.
