Guys, this car supposedly has 15,000 miles on it. Would any of the vins or tags have this "tape" around it? Also look at the side pic, looks like some sort of build up in the seams, not clean. Painted????

The door tag has the clear over it, front and rear bumpers have a clear over them also. Looks like a nice car, what kind of asking price is on it?

Tape is normal as stated above. The crease in the rocker is like that they just put seam sealer in it before they get painted. Is this the car on ebay? looks to be clean if you dont mind the auto and the front tag bracket.

So that Seam sealer is normal? Looks like glob of caulk. It has black interior. There's just something about the paint, looks weird. The front plate, how are they installed. This one looks like it's just attached under the frame and not through the fascia

It is pretty much caulk. They just put it in that seam and paint over it. The front bracket is attached underneath and there are two recessed places on the face of the bracket where it is drilled thru the bumper and pop riveted on.

Yes its on ebay, he wants $16k but my experience has been auto kills the value. Very sweet car, if it were a manual I would have bought it already.

Problem is the auto yes but that black interior is just about flawless, just look at the door pockets. And that Seam filler along with the drilled plate killed it for me. Back to SC GT500 I guess.

I'm always amused by the importance of perfect map pockets to many Fox body enthusiasts.

100% on the pockets. In my hunting of a fox that is almost #1 for me when people state "mint". Sorry but droopy played out pockets is a no no for me.

Me too its such an easy fix even if it was stretched out.

^^^

Well, if the fix is so easy, it seems that less than stellar map pockets in an otherwise mint or very good condition car should not be a deal breaker.

I agree 100%, you can very well have a low mile car with stretched map pockets. No different then stretch marks on a woman, easy fix. Some people have put cd's or items in the map pockets and over time it will stretch them out. They have a way to fix it through surgery. You can tighten it back up to new! :dancenana
