My buddy and I called this dealer just to jack around with him. We asked if it was a "special edition" because we had never seen a fox body GT with 50k miles anywhere near $30k.
He said "that is what these cars are going for now".
Insane!

^^^

Let's see if he says that when he still has the car 6 months from now. Which he most certainly will at that price.

There was a super clean 1991 gt titanium with like 30k miles recently on eBay and it was an automatic. Owner said he wouldn't sell for less than 20 grand and it was a 1 of 300 color for two years. I showed him the production numbers being closer to 1600 and he denied it. Car got up to $15 k if I remember right and I was shocked it got that high! Reserve not met though.

Most of the run of the mill GTs and LXs were plentiful back then and could be bought for well under $20K brand new. These cars today are not worth nearly twice what they were brand new, even lower mileage ones.

Sounds like someone believed that the "Dennis Collins" sales at Barrett Jackson were real in January, and basing sale prices off that.....
