Not too many of these were built! With only 107 SVT Models built in 1993, it holds the honor of being the rarest factory production small block V-8 Mustang in Mustang history. In addition, it is the fastest, best handling and most collectible of the 5-liter breed. The 93 Cobra R will continue to be sought after by auto enthusiasts and collectors alike, as the year 1993 will go down in automotive history as being the first year of Ford SVT production and the beginning of the SVT Cobra Legacy.

Assembled at the Dearborn Assembly Plant, this beautiful Cobra R was designed from the beginning for racing in endurance road course contests. In addition to the 5.0L EFI SHP Cobra V-8 Engine, 3.08 Traction-Lok Rear Axle and Five-Speed Manual Transmission, it was produced with many delete options such as Radio, A/C, Heater and Rear Back Seat in order to make this special Mustang as fast as possible.

A great investment, this rare Cobra R is becoming increasingly hard to find and would be a fantastic addition to any collection!

I don't like the Seats, taillights look weird, or the rear view mirror! Otherwise:

:wank:

Oh...oh... I hope I don't get anything on the rest of the car!!!!!

I Like!

So I would assume this is the one with the non matching numbers motor? I thought 30 was a good price. Now I don't know.

Don't forget, that's only the opening bid, and the reserve is not met, so who knows what it takes to buy the car.

Definitely has the wrong motor (or at least the wrong upper intake). By the time Ford began building the Rs, the upper intake had been switched to the later one w/the ridge.

Also, the door tag shown in the Marti Report shows Interior Trim as D6 (grey cloth articulated sport seat) which did not come in the R. All Rs had the lowback gray cloth seats - G6 code.

An unsuspecting buyer may overpay quite a bit on this one.

I ordered a Marti report for my cobra and they listed the MLDG as "T" and as you all know for a teal car it should be "L". I sent them an email questioning the report and they sent me a new report with the "L" and apologizing for the error. I'm guessing errors happen a lot and people either don't know the report is wrong or don't look that close.

Looks like the Marti reports are no better than Carfax sometimes.

Yes, I built the car back in 07, as a roller. Motor is not original, the transmission is. I bought it off e-bay as a roller, the original owner was Chris Kauffman,

The motor is a 30 over Forged Piston motor, out of red 93 Cobra I built a 331 for. I did speak to the current owner, I would love to have this car back, who know's maybe we can work a deal.

I talked to the owner, and he may not have known about this car...At least I hope he didn't......Also, the unpainted radiator is another clue....All were painted black on the 93R's.....Thanks for everyone's comments........That's why this is the best forum on the internet for the Cobra Owner or prospective ones.....
