The current owner told me he was unaware about the motor, weather he is or not I do not know, I told the owner before him, as at the time pretty much everyone in the 93 Cobra R Community knew it was sold as a roller. The prior owner also had a Black 93 when I sold it to him, he said he was not really worried about the motor, as he was planning to drive the car, plus with 41K miles on it, it is pretty much perfect as a driver

As for the radiator, it is the correct radiator, I chose not to paint it black. The company that built them for Ford just spray painted them black. If you ever see a 93 R up close, check out the half ass job they did at cutting the quarter panel lips on the rear. Also they have convertiable rocker supports welded to them on the bottom, and they just spray painted over the weld marks.

93 R's where built on convertible floor pans with beefed up rockers, except for the last 7 cars.

I do not think he is trying to scam anyone, he is just unaware the car had the motor replaced. Now that I talked to him, he may updated his auction

Definitely has the wrong motor (or at least the wrong upper intake). By the time Ford began building the Rs, the upper intake had been switched to the later one w/the ridge.

Also, the door tag shown in the Marti Report shows Interior Trim as D6 (grey cloth articulated sport seat) which did not come in the R. All Rs had the lowback gray cloth seats - G6 code.

An unsuspecting buyer may overpay quite a bit on this one.
Actually the R models Did have the D6 CODE on the vin label....I owned #43.....it was a 35-mile wrapper when I purchased, and I checked the photo of the vin tag, and it does show D6 as the trim code....D=Cloth A Sport, 6=opal gray......Don't ask me why, it should have been F/G 6 or G6.....Maybe they planned the A6 seat, and for some reason switched to the low back for production after the vin labels were produced......Interesting R model tidbit.........It would be interesting to see if the cars produced after or during the April production had the labels corrected at some point....102 of the total 107 units were produced on April 27-30....The remaining 5 cars were produced on 6/04...........

Yet another odd Mustang production discrepancy that makes the hobby so interesting.
