1993 COBRA R MODEL #77 OF 107 UNITS PRODUCED.....ONLY 1 OF 6 CARB-CERTIFIED R MODELS SOLD IN CA,,,,,,THIS MEANS YOU CAN DRIVE THIS CAR LEGALLY IN CA WITHOUT THE MINIMUM OF 7500 MILES THAT APPLIES TO 49-STATE EMISSION CARS......A SPECIAL LAW WAS ENACTED IN CA, THE CALIFORNIA "YOUNG BILL" THAT ALLOWED CERTAIN CARS WITH 49-STATE EMISSION CONTROLS TO BE SOLD IN CALIFORNIA, AS LONG AS CARB WAS
NOTIFIED AS TO THE VIN# AND NUMBER OF CARS SOLD BY THE MANUFACTURER......CAR WILL SHOW 2 OWNERS, AS I DID REGISTER THE CAR TO MAKE SURE THAT IT ACTUALLY COULD BE REGISTERED IN CA, AND ROAD-TESTED TO A COUPLE OF LOCAL SHOWS TO MAKE SURE OF OPERATION OF ALL COMPONENTS......

THIS CAR WAS SOLD NEW BY VILLA FORD IN ORANGE, CA, AND SUBSEQUENTLY TRANSPORTED TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S HOME IN ARIZONA. THE CAR WAS PLACED IN HIS GARAGE, COVERED, AND NEVER MOVED FROM IT'S GARAGE ENVIRONMENT OR DRIVEN SINCE AUGUST 1993.....I PURCHASED THIS CAR ALONG WITH A 1993 COBRA, AND TRANSPORTED THEM BACK TO CALIFORNIA.....BOTH CARS HAD NOT BEEN STARTED SINCE
THE ORIGINAL BATTERIES WENT DEAD.....ALL PARTS AND COMPONENTS ARE FACTORY-ORIGINAL WITH THE EXCEPTION OF FUEL TANK AND INTERNAL FUEL TANK COMPONENTS,THAT WERE RUSTED BEYOND REPAIR DUE TO STORAGE AND NON-START CONDITION......NEW BATTERY WAS INSTALLED AS THE ORIGINAL WAS LONG-GONE......

CAR IS AS YOU WOULD EXPECT ON A 500-MILE EXAMPLE WITH ALL FINISHES EXCELLENT DOWN TO YELLOW-CAD BOLTS AND UN-TARNISHED ALUMINUM COMPONENTS, THANKS TO THE ARIZONA CLIMATE....PAINT IS EXCELLENT, NO SCRATCHES OR CHIPS THAT ARE NOTICEABLE....ONLY
ITEM I COULD FIND IS A COUPLE OF VERY SMALL PAINT CHIPS WHERE ROOF PANEL AND QUARTER MEET, DUE TO FACTORY LEAD SEAMS. A VERY
COMMON ACCURANCE WITH AGING LEAD BODY SEAMS, BUT VERY MINOR IN MY OPINION, AND COULD BE EASILY TOUCHED-UP......

TIRES HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW ORIGINAL GATORBACKS, AND THE DATE-CODED SET THAT WAS ON THE CAR FROM FACTORY WILL BE
INCLUDED.....

PLEASE EMAIL FOR ANY ADDITIONAL PICTURES YOU MAY REQUIRE.....AS ALWAYS I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT BUYER OR BUYER'S REPRESENTATIVE INSPECT THE CAR, AS IT IS SOLD "AS-IS" WHERE IS......I WILL ALLOW WINNING BUYER TO INSPECT CAR AFTER AUCTION
AND DEPOSIT, AND WILL RETURN DEPOSIT IF CAR IS NOT AS DESCRIBED....I WANT A "HAPPY" BUYER......

I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SELL THIS CAR DURING OR AFTER THE AUCTION TO ANY INTERESTED OUTSIDE PARTY, IF RESERVE IS NOT MET......

Maybe he's keeping the black one. Who wouldn't rather have a fully loaded BLACK Cobra rather than a RED/ORANGE one with LX seats, roll-down windows, no radio and no air?!?

Just replying to you all.....1993 Cobra is sold and leaving the shop......New home in IL......Decided to sell #77 because of one reason-Profit........I am on Soc. Security and involuntarily-retired at this point.....So income is important......I am sure I won't come across anymore profit-making Cobras, so that's it in a nutshell............I can afford the right R, so I will keep looking.....
I have a few others from private collections I may look at in the near future.......I will eventually have a keeper keeper.......

Nothing wrong with making a little extra $$$$ on the side, most car guys have some sort of hobby making extra $. I like to do the same thing around my area, always browsing to see what I can find. The way I look at it, a bank or investment will never give you the same amount of return you can make buying and re-selling some cars.
