It appears the folks at Ogden Lincoln near Chicago watching Cobra R #107 collect lots of dust at $115K must have sent some of their hallucinogens down to the folks in Missouri. :D

Yikes! They can shoot for the moon on prices, but the cars will just sit. Reality will eventually set in.

Yep found it on hagerty they must own their building outright or they are so rich they don't care about the rent.

I think we will find that so many of these cars have been kept in collections the price won't ever be that of a Shelby just my take, none of these cars were really used as intended. Probably better off buying a house for $120k and have your money back in ten years from rent, then have a passive income stream vs buying one and letting it sit in the garage. The likelihood of our generation or the next paying over six figures for these cars seems very slim.

^^^ agreed, I think Rs will hit 80k someday, but that will be the cap. As for regular 93 cobras, I think low mileage rappers will pull $40-50k someday

Thats why I feel a true R racer with documentation will be the one worth the most down the road. Even right not if you look you can find 93 R's for sale but never any race cars.

They did that and then some back in the late 2000's.

A few overzealous folks with money to burn had a few of them trading hands north of that number.

VERY TRUE- how often do you see R's that were raced I have to agree it might be the flip on these cars is the trailer queens will be less desirable with no history other than collecting dust.

People didn't buy GT350/500's and store them for 30-40 years only to pull them out with 50-100 miles. You don't see that. But with the 93R everyone decided to do that, hence why its not as rare. Out of 107 I bet less than 15 were raced.

If more were raced than stored and some wrecked at the track then it would make the values jump. But right now they are safely tucked in garages.

Sorry to disagree with the "racing history" folks, who think that Raced Cobra R's will be more valuable than low-mileage trailer queen cars....So few 93R's were ever raced and as such, with a short history with few wins, these raced-cars will never approach the value of ultra-low mileage unmolested R's with full documentation......Look at all your Mecum and Barrett-Jackson auctions, and you will find only a few raced-cars that bring mucho bucks.....Most are offered with high reserves, and go back to the barn with the reserve not met.............I have sold R's for 80K, and I have sold them for 50K.....And I feel that they will eventually be trending upwards in the future.....to what price is anyone's guess........I think the few R owners that have 15-30,000 mile cars are the real lucky ones, because they can drive, race, and abuse the R's like they were designed for by Ford and SVT...........

I think wrappers will continue to bring good money, but cars like the original 93 steeda R.. That will bring BIG $ someday at auction

Yea there will be no comparison to a true raced car that was documented and campaigned as it was intended. I'm not talking a Joe blow who took a R and started tracking it but a true ordered by a race team as intended and documented raced car. There cant be more than 20 or so of them in existence if that many. PS DB I tried to buy the Steeda Car at the 50th and it's not for sale.

Well, I know from past experience true 93R race cars dont bring more money.

I owned Kris Kauffman's old 93R scca car. It only had 2500 race miles on it, I bought it with the original motor, NO TRANS, put it back together. The car looked as good as any 93R with 2500 miles on it. And it only sold for 40K It had more SCCA race hours then all the Steeda cars.

I also owned 93R #19, Ford press car, sold with NON original MOTOR, but original trans with 42K miles on it for 46K but that was 7 years earlier than I had Kriss's old Race car. FYI, Kris owned #19 original as well.

So it's hard to say.

As for prices. 93r's have already seen over 100K 8 years ago wrapper cars where selling for 80 to 100K when the economy fell they dropped by 50%

As for where prices are going who knows. Only time will tell, I can only compare what I have owned and seen sold.

Sure not at this point in time I'm talking down the road. 20 years form now you will be able to find a 93 R if you want one. 93 R racers will be few and far between if you can find one.
