Brandon, I think if any of the 93R race cars had any real winning History they may be worth some money, the fact is none of them had any winning history, they where way under powered. Now the 95R had Most of the SCCA history, such as the Zippo car, and the Priestely 95R which was actually a re-bodied car. I think the 95R Race cars will be the ones to own. the 93 Did not do much on the track. Also, I heard a rumor that some of the SCCA 93R cars where actually 93 GT's with OEM cobra parts on them, Seems some didn't want to use there rare car as a race car, and opted to use a 93 GT chassis instead.

FYI, 93R #104 just sold for $80k to a collector in Idaho. Anyone want to buy mine? It is a well used ex-scca car :-).

I can see an occasional collector buying one for stupid money. Most of them have more money than brains, so they just buy what they want. The Normal buyer wont spend 80k on one. and Most collectors of old cars don't see the 93 as Collector cars just yet.

Only time will tell. I personally prefer a regular 93 Over an R. Neither of my R's felt any Faster, Rode really bad, had no radio, and no A/C. I like my creature comforts. And power.

Considering that the motor was the same, that's no surprise.

Let's be honest. With only 235hp, the 93 Cobra and 93 Cobra R are not known for their power. Even in '93, the Cobra motor was less powerful than its competitors. Although this shortcoming is nothing a Vortech and some other choice mods can't fix!

And you aren't driving them on the track Aaron! Mine sucks on the street (thus why I have 2), but get it on the track and pass a couple Z06's and you can't pry the smile off my face.

Z28, I ran mine stock for a while, way to gutless. Mine has a 347 w/ 400 rwtq now.

Merry Christmas Kevin. I'm doing well, other than being laid up the past month. I dislocated my left ankle and broke my leg. Put a hold on the winter projects. I restored a 68 stang last year and sold it a few months back. I currently have two 66 Stang's to rebuild next. One is an Emberglo GT. I have plans to do some upgrades to my Teal 93, I blew a head gasket last summer and plan to add ~50 rwhp while I have it apart. On hold until I can walk again.....

What have you been up too?

To tie this reply back on topic, I have been thinking of selling both my 93's to get a new GT350, but am not sure I can do it. Really wish I could have them all!

Yes I know, I sold you that 347, Few years back. Glad to hear she is running great,
But I love Jumping in my GT 500, blowing past all the Bow tie boys, and turning on my Radio and a/c on the way home. Guess I am getting old.

Those are the two '93 R's I owned. Sold them to the same guy. He's asking a lot more than he paid!
