Question / Help with 5-Speed

Where is the main bearing located in a Tremec? Is it on the inside or on the front of it. And how had is it to replace, my 5-speed is making a roaring sound. I took it to my dad's speed shop and he told me that it sounds like the main bearing, but he don't do Trasmissions !!!

did you check the fluid level. when mine was low during my speedo gear swap it made a lot of noise until I was able to get fluid into the tail section again. filled it up and it quieted right down. cheap fix
