Turn Signals

Post by OLLETT »

Has anybody ever had a problem with their turn signals. Mine stopped working but my hazards are fine. I tried a new multifunctional signal switch...nothing, replaced both flashers...nothing, I even heard the ignition switch could be bad so I replaced it...nothing. Still no blink. After all this I said a couple of Bleep Bleeps. Nothing against Ford Service Department but I hate to take it to them find it was something simple.
If anybody knows anything I'm listening!

What were the bleeps you said ?

The turn signal flasher is behind the glove box and slightly off to the left, take the hazard flasher and plug it into the the turn signal spot to make sure you put in a good flasher.

Next check fuses.

I might need to scan the wire diagram for ya and email it to ya.

Do you need me to do that for ya or what ?

The system is not that complicated, but if you dont know a good bit about it ,it might get confusing.

I have a diagram out of a Haynes repair manual. I couldn't follow them that good. Yours may be better but I'm about to give up. I may just go ahead and put it in the shop. My guess is it shorted out some kind of way and I don't know how to find or fix them.

Well I took my car to the shop guys. Just like I thought it was something simple. The repair guy said that a wire coming from the back of the hazzard light harness was in the wrong place. How it got mixed up is another story.
