seat track mechanism

Post by OLLETT »

I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with their power seat movement. Mine sometimes gets stuck and moves very slow. I wonder if their is another ford automobile with the same seat track set up? Latemodel resto has theirs priced for $300 something. I want to avoid that route if possible. Anybody experience this problem?

I could get a OEM one from Ford for less than that.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't think that the '94 or newer model tracks would work with the 87-93's. But it's worth a try. I'm sure the tracks out a junk car will be cheaper than new ones.

They will be cheaper, but may not be as reliable.

I just got a new one through ford. They said the part number was updated to a 98 part #. From what they said, the seat tracks are the same from 93 to 98.

$265 I paid, I believe list was $369. I used to work at there so they gave me a pretty good deal.
