Dumbfounded???

:?: Ok so I was detailing my teal 93 and noticed something very strange about the driver and passenger door trim.....

Some sort of tacky film on both driver and pass door trim?????? Please help

Clean it with paint thinner then wax.

Ah, that issue. I've seen it on a few cars. I've always just used the Tar and Bug remover. Takes the stuff right off. I can't say I've ever seen it that bad on any of the other colors.

My Teal car had the same issue and it would re-appear every 6 months or so. Seemed to be worse when it was hot out, which in Houston was 11.5 mos out of the year. lol

I read somewhere that the adhesive "wicks" its way out through the pores in the rubber molding. Not sure how true that is, but it sounds like solid BS to me!

I started using Zaino Z-CS Clear-Seal on those moldings and it seemed to work very well.
