clutch pedal effort

Post by pete3323 »

I have a centerforce clutch with a fidanza flywheel on my '98 cobra and the pedal effort is less than my '93 with a centerforce and stock fly. Does the fly make that much difference or is it the T5 vs the T56 in the '98? Or something else??

Flywheel wont make any difference I can think of for pedal effort. I would say clutch cable binding or different quadrants

Looked on ebay for clutch cable. Are the cobra's any different than GT? Found one that says ok for GT but not cobra? Also, is there a way to lubricate the cable? May want to try that first if so. Thanks.

No difference in gt vs cobra. I would not skimp on clutch cable. You can try lubing yours to see if it helps. Or it might simply be a heavy clutch...
