Hatch Release

Post by Doughrat19 »

So I recently realized that my hatch release button in the glove box isn't working. What's the most common reason, the button it self? Absolutely nothing happens when I push the button.

Thanks,

Matt

Also Make sure the key is in the on position, it doesn't work unless the key is on.

That's funny mine works without the key, just open the door and push the button.

Willy, knowing me, I prob didn't have the key in the ignition, I'll have to double check. Didn't realize it had to be in the on position. Figured it was like my cigarette lighter, always on.

No problem, it always gets the best of me too. My DD just has a lever so I guess I am used to it.

dumbest thing about these cars. I guess it's some kind of safety thing but the hatch release should open regardless of key position imo.
