dbrennancobra wrote:done... 1 day at the ford dealer = $500 bucks. Rear main, had to drop the transmission.

also got the drivers side (for passenger window) switch replaced. and fixed the bezel around my shifter (took off the SVT tag). looking good.

NO MORE OIL DRIPPING. (it wasnt bad, maybe 2-3 drips a week), but i couldn't stand it, and at Mohegan sun car show in the ballroom carpet (wouldn't be a good idea).

LETS GET THIS CAR SHOW SEASON STARTED! :burnout:
A couple drips a week = your car marking it's turf......

Did you pull up a chair and watch them do it? I would be nervous as hell leaving my car at a ford dealer, seems everytime I brought one of our cars in for service I would bring home a "new" door ding! :headbang:

I had my buddy Eric do it at ford, he owns a green calapso fox, so he knows what's up.

I wouldn't say normal but, rear main leaks are a common issue on the fox-bodies. :headbang:

How is the "bigger" family doing?

Salem ford is trying it again...as it's still leaking.

And the family is doing great, thanks for asking.

Wow, that sucks! I did a rear main seal on my old 90gt and had to do it twice. I know their is a specific seal to buy that is better than others, but, I can't remember who makes it. Ford may also not have aligned it "perfectly" or a small piece of gasket was missed and the new one didn't seal right.... Hopefully the second time is the charm. :headbang:
